The handsome, chiseled features and dimpled chin of Kirk Douglas are instantly recognizable. With two Golden Globes and an Academy Award for lifetime achievement, the gravelly voiced star was named one of the 25 greatest male American screen legends of all time by the revered American Film Institute.
Included in this three-disc release are five full-length feature films, including Kirk’s debut in The Strange Love of Martha Ivers (1946), My Dear Secretary (1948), The Big Trees (1952), Catch Me a Spy (1971) and The Master Touch (1972); a rarely seen episode of TV’s The Colgate Comedy Hour (1952); The Jack Benny Program: The Jam Session Show (1954); and a Kirk Douglas biography.
