Looking Forward To A New Year

I am looking forward to 2012 and all that it has to offer. I don't normally make resolutions but I'm going to try it this year and see where it takes me. I'm not sure if I lacked faith in myself to carry out resolutions or if I just saw it as a needless tradition. For the past year or so, I have been working toward becoming a better person, all the way around. So here is a list of things that I will be working on during 2012 (and probably the rest of my life):

#1 Eating Better

I love a lot of really healthy foods but my husband doesn't. So normally, I just make something that both of us will eat because it saves time and money. I'm not saying that I am going to make two meals every night, but this year I am going to make it a point to eat better. I'm not going to deprive myself of some not-so-healthy food here and there, but I am going to be more aware of what I am putting in my body.

#2 Exercise More

I don't plan on getting a gym membership or anything but I do want to start doing more to get in shape and feel better.  I have a bad back and neck and am in a lot of pain most of the time.  I'll admit that I have let that stand in my way in the past.  It's kind of hard to make yourself move when every little movement means sharp pains shooting through your body.  This year though, I'm making a change.  I'm going to push through and hope that in the end it works out for the best.

#3 Be More Organized

I need to keep better track of the things that I need to do.  I can be a bit scatter-brained and it's time to put an end to that.  I also want to keep my home more organized, so I need to think of the best way to do that.  It will probably mean a lot of rearranging.  I'll be sure to do that on a weekend so the hubby can help:)

What are your plans for 2012?  Any resolutions?

The Holidays

This time of year has always been special to me.  It's a time when everyone drops what they are doing and we all get together to eat some delicious food and enjoy each the company of one another.  The only problem is that it goes by so fast.  It's like once Thanksgiving is upon us, bam! It's a new year and we start all over again.
