Magic Words

I think that every girl daydreams about the magical day that the man of her dreams drops down on one knee and asks one of life's most important questions. I used to think about where I would be and what I would be wearing. My dream proposal would be after a long walk on the beach holding hands and he would stop me and look into my eyes. Then he would say, "life isn't worth living unless it's with you, will you marry me?" I would say yes and then we would be drenched by a huge wave.



I'm still rooting for Cleveland and Maya because their story is so similar to what happened with my husband and I.

If you were to take a peek into Lena's life, you would be appalled by the lie she is living. She has the picture perfect marriage and is the mother of two beautiful kids. Her husband neglects and even after therapy thinks that everything is fine the way it is. He gives up on therapy and then Lena decides maybe it's time to give up on the life she thought she had and start living, for real.

This is a story of triumph and self-awareness. It's not everyday that you read a book and are instantly addicted to the character. I felt like I knew Lena and I was rooting for her all the way!

James Patterson is one of my favorite authors of all time.  His books are always filled with the perfect amount of suspense and surprise.  Michael Bennett is definitely a detective I would want working my case.
