Grace, Amelia and Hannah are friends and they also happen to live together. When they come across an old tin that includes letters and two diaries that belonged to two soldiers from he Civil War, they are surprised to find out that one is from the Union and the other of the Confederate. Both soldiers were found by a woman who took it upon herself to care for these two men. They decided to return the favor and take care of the woman who is responsible for their survival. The two men are torn between helping this woman and returning to the families that they have left behind. The three roommates take it upon themselves to track down the soldiers families and pass on the letters and diaries that have touched their hearts.
This is a very heartwarming read that's perfect for the holiday season.
