Credit

When I was a teen, I got really excited when I received pre-approval letters for credit cards.  I had no idea how important your credit score is.  It affects so many different aspects of your life.  Without a good credit score, you can't buy a house or take out a loan when you need a new car.

The ability to pay your bills on time is vital and protecting yourself from identity theft by checking your credit report once a year. Even if, right now, it seems like a mundane thing, think about twenty years down the line when you want to send your kid to college.
