Kate has never been close to her father. Her father's stand-offish behavior toward her ever since her mother died has Kate in a tangled emotional web. When she finally visits her dad, he is dying. Kate seems to have a tough time with the male species. First, her father failed her and now her husband isn't living up to expectations either. Their marriage is in shambles and neither of them know what to do to fix it. Life throws a few curve balls and Kate and her husband realize what is really important.
I really enjoyed this book because it was believable. Kate is easy to relate to and you can't help but hope that everything works out for her in the end.
