Some siblings grow up closer than others. Sebastian and Adora are the best of friends and they rely on each other for comfort and warmth. The world may not always be a nice place, but if this brother and sister are together, they are happy. But when Sebastian drowns, their mother can only blame Adora.
Miranda is married to Adora's husbands co-worker who is prone to insane jealousy. Miranda's daughter, Genevieve, is smitten with Adora and vice versa. Now with someone to focus her life around, Adora finally starts to feel like she is living again.
The lives of these women tangled in an intricate weave that shifts from suttle to obvious in ways that the reader never expects. I found this book to be insightful and it reminded me of my own life and the people who are in it. I look forward to more books by this author.
