Games
I like to play games online and it would be really interesting to actually make a treasure hunt game with aviation theme. I had a friend who could take a game and make it his own by making little changes here and there. Who knows, maybe I'll try this one day.

Max's Mudpie
Max keeps trying to make a mudpie but Ruby wants him to stay clean because Grandma is coming over and she’s got something very special. In the end, Max gets himself and Ruby mucky. It turns out that Grandma’s surprise is a double chocolate fudge treat she calls “Mudpie!”
It's amazing how a show can capture a toddler's attention and hold it. My nephew likes to watch TV but he is also a very active child, so there are times when he sits down to watch something and after a couple of minutes he's running around playing, which is great. But every now and again, he will become engrossed in a story and it's amazing to watch his expressions. That's how it was when I put on an episode of Max & Ruby: Rainy Day Play. His little face lit up whenever there was a scene with Grandma and I know that's because he is addicted to his Mamaw. This is a great show that's entertaining for the whole family.

Review: Mothers and Daughters by Rae Meadows
A rich and luminous novel about three generations of women in one family: the love they share, the dreams they refuse to surrender, and the secrets they hold
Samantha is lost in the joys of new motherhood—the softness of her eight-month-old daughter's skin, the lovely weight of her child in her arms—but in trading her artistic dreams to care for her child, Sam worries she's lost something of herself. And she is still mourning another loss: her mother, Iris, died just one year ago.
When a box of Iris's belongings arrives on Sam's doorstep, she discovers links to pieces of her family history but is puzzled by much of the information the box contains. She learns that her grandmother Violet left New York City as an eleven-year-old girl, traveling by herself to the Midwest in search of a better life. But what was Violet's real reason for leaving? And how could she have made that trip alone at such a tender age?
In confronting secrets from her family's past, Sam comes to terms with deep secrets from her own. Moving back and forth in time between the stories of Sam, Violet, and Iris, Mothers and Daughters is the spellbinding tale of three remarkable women connected across a century by the complex wonder of motherhood.
There are times when I pick up a book and I am transported to another world. When this happens, I am in a trance and cannot come to until the book is finished. That's how it was while reading MOTHERS AND DAUGHTERS. It's unforgettable with it's emotionally charged plot and raw characters. This is the perfect book to give your mom for Mother's Day.

Review: Purex Complete with Zout
One household chore that I do not mind doing is laundry. This is even more true now that I have Purex Complete with Zout laundry detergent. I love that I don't have to pre-treat my clothes because that takes a long time for me. I am a messy person. I don't mean to be, but I accepted it a long time ago. I'm often teased for ending up with more food on my clothes than in my mouth. I used to be extremely self-conscious about it but the more I try to be careful, the messier I get. I blame it on my hands shaking so much. It's nice to know that I don't have to rush off and scrub a spot on my shirt right away. I can actually finish my meal and go change my shirt.
Purex Complete with Zout is my best friend right now because it really works thanks to it's triple enzyme power. You can request a free sample here.

Apple Coupon Codes
Are you looking for some good deals on products made by Apple? Maybe you are in the market for a iPad or a MacBook Pro? Looking to get your teenager a iPod for their birthday? If you answered yes to any of these questions, make sure you check out these Apple Store coupons. I think it is safe to say that all of us would like to save money, even if it means doing a little research or holding out on buying the product we want until the right deal comes along. Make sure you search the Apple Store coupon codes because you can use the money you save to buy yourself something else you want. My big thing is, I don't see the point in getting something new if you can't get anything to go with it. What good does a Blu-ray player do if you don't have a Blu-ray movie to watch on it? Growing up, my dad would get CD's before he had a CD player, that way when he made the purchase, he had a nice selection to choose from. Next time I shop online, I will definitely use an Apple coupon code. These will really come in handy for birthdays and holidays.
Nickelodeon launches anti-bullying campaign
Associated Press
March 28, 2011
By The Associated Press DAVID BAUDER (AP Television Writer)
NEW YORK (AP) — The popular children's television network Nickelodeon is the latest voice to raise awareness of digital bullying.
Nick, the most-watched TV network among kids ages 2 to 14, will begin an on-air public service campaign Monday featuring some of its stars offering advice on what young people should do when confronted with hostile texts, emails or Facebook posts.
The advice offered in one ad featuring Ashley Argota of "True Jackson, VP" and Gage Golightly of "The Troop": Sign off the computer; don't reply to a hostile messenger; block bullies from access; make a copy of the message to show to an adult you trust.
"It's not tattle-telling," Golightly says. "It's standing up for yourself."
The issue has received national attention after the suicides of teenagers who were cyberbullying victims. President Barack Obama held a White House conference on bullying earlier this month. Nick is collaborating with the advocacy group Common Sense Media, which has also worked with MTV and the Disney Channel on spreading the word about the issue.
The hope is that the anti-bullying effort can become as pervasive and successful as campaigns calling for a designated driver who has not consumed alcohol when friends are out drinking, said James Steyer, CEO and founder of Common Sense Media, which offers reviews and advice for parents.
Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress of Nick's "ICarly" are also participating in the campaign, which will last for two years, said Marva Smalls, Nick's executive vice president for public affairs.
"We are happy that our talent agreed to be a part of it because that would make it resonate even more for kids," Smalls said.
Half of young people ages 14-24 said they had been the victim of cyberbullying, according to a survey conducted in late 2009 for The Associated Press and MTV.
"We have to be laser-focused on finding solutions to the issue of cyberbullying," Steyer said.
Nickelodeon is an important partner for its ability to reach kids as they're just starting to use the Internet and cellphones, he said. Nick is also publicizing Common Sense's "Rule of the Road" for online behavior, urging young users to guard their privacy and assume that everyone in the world can see whatever they are posting.
Nick will also host a discussion board and have information available on its web page devoted to parents who want to learn about the issue.

Apple Store Coupons
Like I have said before, I am a bit addicted to savings. Whether it's by using coupons, promos or free shipping deals, I try to save every penny I can. One thing I learned was how easy it is to save money and still get the items you want. I know a lot of people who pay full price for everything and they are shocked when I tell them how much I spent for the exact same item.
When my husband and I started looking at computers, our first step was to talk to my dad. He knows a lot about Apple computers and that was what we wanted to buy. While searching for Apple Store coupons, we found a lot of really great deals. We have been talking about maybe getting an iPhone and the first thing we will look for is Apple Store coupon codes. One really great thing is that even if you can't find a deal good enough right away, if you hold out for a little while, you will find an Apple coupon code that will make the wait worth it. Then, you can use the money you save to make purchases at iTunes or to buy a game to play on your new computer.

Review: Go, Diego, Go!: Diego Saves the World
Join Diego, his sister Alicia, and their friends all over the world as they race to the rescue of animals in trouble! Help them reach Antarctica to help some penguins! Save a Bengal Tiger in India and thirsty camels in Egypt! Dive under the sea to save a Humpback Whale, and swing through the Latin American rainforest to help a deer, a hawk, and even those silly Bobo Brothers (and their spider monkeys sisters too)! ¡Al rescate!
There are six fun-filled, adventurous episodes in Diego Saves the World. My nephew is a huge Diego fan and it makes me really happy when he enjoys a show that is educational. Friendship is one of the most important lessons in life and that is one of thing that I love about Diego, he cares about his friends. He also teaches children how to say words in Spanish which I find really cool because it's easier to learn another language as a child. He really enjoyed this DVD which put a huge smile on my face.

Question For Parents
Would you leave your 2 & 5-year-old in a car alone while you were watching a T-Ball game?
I went to watch Damien's first T-ball practice/game (he's 3) and it was really cold out. He told his mom and dad that it was too cold, so we decided to leave. When I was walking to my car, I noticed that a kid who couldn't be more than 2 and another who couldn't be over 5 were sitting a car all by themselves. I sat there contemplating what to do. I'm not a parent but I cannot see myself leaving a child alone in a car like that, even if my third child was in the middle of a game. I am not a parent but I can't see myself leaving a 5-year-old to take care of a 2-year-old. Is this OK?
I sat for a long time trying to decide what I should do. Doing nothing wasn't an option. In the end, I sat there until both parents got to their car and I got out and said "you shouldn't leave your kids alone like that". The woman said "these are my kids and I was right over there." My question is, if you were right there and could actually see them, why didn't you come over when the five-year-old got in the front seat and set off the alarm. I didn't say that but I should have. Then the dad starts yelling at me how she's a mother of three. I'm like, OK, well then you should know better. Right then, I knew I should have called the police. I don't like to start things but I am not the type of person who can just walk away and hope for the best. So I tell them that next time I will call the police. The guy starts yelling at me to call his brother/brother-in-law (I don't remember which it was). There were a lot of people around and I hope that I embarrassed them enough not to leave their children unattended like that. All I kept thinking was, these kids could be on the 6:00 news as kidnapped. I just don't understand some people.
Did I over-react? Or should I have called the police?
Well, I'm sure I will see them again the next time my nephew plays T-Ball. That should be interesting.

Review: Chicken Soup for the Soul: Grieving and Recovery: 101 Inspirational and Comforting Stories about Surviving the Loss of a Loved One
101 Inspirational and Comforting Stories about Surviving the Loss of a Loved One
Grieving is a process everyone goes through in their own way. It often feels overwhelming and as if the sorrow will never end. While the hurt and sadness never completely fade, it eases with time. This collection of emotional and inspirational stories will provide comfort and peace to those mourning the loss of someone close. Others who have lost a loved one share their stories of what helped, offering guidance and support. With its stories of regaining strength, appreciating life, coping, and faith, this book will help ease the journey to healing.
My favorite thing about the Chicken Soup for the Soul books is that they allow you to feel while letting you know that you are not alone. I lost my Granny and my Uncle and even though it has been a while, I still miss them. It's nice to be able to pick up a book and remember how much lost loved ones still mean to you. I found strength in the stories and they were just what I needed to process some of my own emotions.

With our new Universal TV Stand, we decided it was time to add some stylish accents to go with it. The 5 Tier Media Rack was so easy to put together and looks great beside our TV. I actually put this together myself (which hardly ever happens) and I was able to get it done really quick. It adds personality to our living room, which is exactly what I was looking for.

Review: Wardrobe Rack - Over the Door
Tired of folding clothes that you are just going to wear the next day. Our Wardrobe rack will solve the problem for you. Gain extra space for hanging or drying clothing. - Fits up to doors that are 1-5/8” thick. - Built out of white coated metal.
I got tired of throwing my jackets and coats on the back of our over-sized living room chair. With my new Wardrobe Rack from Organize World, I have a specific spot just for these items. Next winter I am going to figure out a way to put my hats and gloves on there too, so everything will be right there in one place. My husband was happy with this new addition to our home too because there is enough room to hang a coat even if it is not completely dry.

Web Hosting
I've been trying to figure out if it would be a good idea to switch web hosting services for this blog, It's My Life. I've been going back and forth because I don't want my rating to go down and to be honest, I'm kind of scared because I don't know a whole lot about this sort of thing. The good thing about this though is that there are websites that compare web hosting companies for you. I have heard that there are more opportunities with some web host companies and I want to be able to take advantage of this. As a reviewer, I look to web hosting reviews to help me understand the benefits of one company versus another, especially since I'm not as familiar as I would like to be on this subject. What are your thoughts? Have you had success with one of the web hosting providers?
Review: Spring Cleaning Products from CSN Stores
It's that time of year to do spring cleaning! The most important thing on my list when it comes to cleaning, is gloves. It doesn't matter that most of the cleaning tools I use have long handles, I still want my hands to be covered. The Mr. Clean Fashion Fit Gloves with Lotion work great! I was able to move around the house knowing that my hands were safe (or at least safer) from germs. When I was finished and removed the gloves, I was very happy that my hands didn't feel dry and cracked. It was great!

The one part of cleaning that I used to absolutely loathe was the toilet. The wonderful Clorox Toilet Wand with Caddy has changed that! I get to stand up straight and run the wand across the toilet a couple of times and I'm done! It does all the work and I love having a dedicated place for the handle. Life is so much easier when you have the right tools to help you get the job done right.

Saving Money With Promotion Codes
I do a lot of my shopping online because it's so much easier than running around town and having to deal with large crowds only to find out that the store your in doesn't have what you are looking for. It's much easier to compare prices online and the website will tell you whether or not they have the item in stock. It's a win-win. There is even a site dedicated to informing buyers about current promotion codes for tons of different retailers. PromotionCode.org is a great website that is easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye. You can search through directory and find the store you are interested in or you can sign up to receive emails. You can even add a code that you find and share the savings with others.
One of the best things about PromotionCode.org is their free shipping codes page. This is a huge help when you are buying something that is expensive and also very heavy. Have you ever purchased an item and the shipping cost was the same as the cost of the item? I do everything I can to save a few bucks because those few bucks add up. I wish I had known about this website sooner, I could have saved a lot of money!
Another one of my favorite things about this website are the Verizon promo codes. I can't imagine having my cell plan through any other provider. I actually had 3-4 providers the year my husband was sent to Germany and then to Afghanistan. I would miss the majority of the calls because of bad service and when you have someone you love fighting in a war, that's not something that you want to continue. After switching to Verizon, I didn't miss any of his calls. I hear some people talking about outrageous rates, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Verizon is worth every penny.
Zenni On TV...Again
There are so very many reasons to love the internet. It allows you to find old friends, meet new ones, get answers to your questions and finding the best deal all within seconds. I have become very good at finding out what options we have available when it comes time to purchase an item. I've found that the best deals are usually found online and that works great for me for many reasons. One, I don't have to run all around town trying to find a store that carries what I am looking for. Two, I know that I am getting the best price thanks to all of my research. Three, it comes right to my door.
I know a lot of people who end up paying hundreds of dollars on prescription eyeglasses and I find that outrageous! You can find quality eyeglasses for a lot less. Zenni Optical has a wide variety to choose from and shipping is a flat $4.95, no matter how many pairs you purchase! With over 100 pairs priced at or below $6.95, you are sure to find a pair that is right for you. Zenni has been helping customers for a long time and they are ready to help you too.

Review: Sauder Universal TV Stand from CSN Stores
My husband and I had decided that we needed a new TV stand and decided to look through the CSN Stores website because they always have such a wide variety of furniture. We found several pieces that we liked but in the end decided on the Sauder Universal TV Stand. I fell in love with the simple style and adjustable shelves. It looks really great in our living room and it leaves a lot of space available for decorations and what-not. We were blown away when we received the TV stand two days after ordering it and it was delivered in perfect condition.

Events
When I was in high school, I had the coolest job. I worked at the arena and got to see many hockey games, concerts, etc. One of the most important things that I had to deal with was crowd control. I still remember working a Backstreet Boys concert and having to keep the crowd back so the guys could get on their bus. Using regular barricades wasn't really an option when you have two hundred screaming teenage girls ready to make a run for their dream guys.
There were only a couple times that I took tickets at the front of the arena where the stanchions and velvet ropes are kept. That part wasn't nearly as fun as being part of the action. One of my favorite performances was John Mellencamp. He put on an awesome show! I was so glad when one of the supervisors asked me to stand right by the stage and guard some wires. I had so many great times!

Donate Your Swagbucks & Help Japan
Swagbucks is currently taking SB donations to aid in relief efforts for Japan in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that hit them two weeks ago. They will be collecting Swag Bucks until Friday the 8th of April at 12pm PDT. I just donated my Swagbucks and I hope that you will consider donating yours. You can do so here.
If you join Swagbucks as a result of this post, enter the registration code HelpJapan during registration and receive 50 extra Swag Bucks. This code is active now and expires at 11am PDT on Friday, April 8th.
On Another Note:
Another quick thing I wanted to tell you about is that we've had our users help to create a new Spoof for April Fool's Day - if you haven't used Spoofs before, they're a fun way to play a harmless and hilarious practical joke on someone by sending them outrageous fake search results - for your newer referrals, it could be a fun way for them to get their own referrals, since the fake results you send are tied to your referral link. That will launch next Friday, April 1st. We're all fans of the Spoof around the office, and I think this one will be a lot of fun for people to send to one another.
