Press Release: New PollenTec HVAC Air Filters That Last Up To 5 Years

It is a uniquely designed new HVAC air filter that is as effective as it is durable. The PollenTec Advanced Long Life Filters can last up to five years, are washable, reusable and very easy to clean. What many people don’t realize is that over 300 million disposable air filters end up in landfills EVERY YEAR. Using one PollenTec filter over a five year period significantly reduces the waste impact in landfills nationally.

Research reports say that more than 50 million people in North America are affected by allergies and almost 55% of the population test positive for at least one or more airborne allergens. PollenTec filters are designed to remove those allergens efficiently and effectively. All PollenTec air filters are made from the patented PollenTec material that has been tested and certified in a hospital setting. Extensive testing was conducted by the European Center for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) and verified that 100% of grass pollens, 99.71% of birch pollen, 93.1% of Stinging Nettle-pollen and 90.9% of Ragweed pollen were captured by the
PollenTec filter media.

The PollenTec Air Filter Incorporates dual panel multi-layer technology. The
filter utilizes four cross directional layers which provides unsurpassed
performance and durability. The first two layers capture all airborne pollens and the majority of other microscopic particles and the second two layers ensure that remaining particles are trapped. The PollenTec Filter media captures allergen size particles as small as .3 microns – (1 micron = 1/24,000th of an inch). The PollenTec Filter media is made from proprietary precisely spun 100% high grade polyester followed by a patented coating process, attracting pollen like a magnet.

PollenTec Costs & Cost Savings: PollenTec air filters average retail price is $92.00 and are available to purchase directly on www.pollentec.com to homeowners, DIYers, HVAC companies, commercial & residential builders and contractors. The average cost of a MERV 8 pleated filter is $15.00 to $20.00 and up. Replacing that filter a minimum of at least six times per year will cost on average, $95.00. Using the PollenTec Filter results in a savings of more than 295% over five years, when compared to using other
popular throw away filter brands.

Ready For School?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of USC. All opinions are 100% mine.

Going back to school might be a great thing for you to do right now if the economy has caused you employment problems. There are a few people that I know who have enrolled for certain degrees because they think that will give them a better chance at a better job once the economy returns to normal. They're right. I don't have a college degree and that makes it hard to get a job, especially when the other candidate does have a degree.

It's awesome that now you can receive a college degree right from home. If you have a full-time job and a family, it can be tricky to coordinate and meet the demands of your particular life. The best part is that the schooling works when you are ready to work. If you are interested in something like this, make sure you request program information so you can become familiar with the courses offered.

At the USC Rossier School of Education allows you to get a Master's Degree online. The accelerated program can give you the ability to graduate in only twelve months. All this from a school that is internationally known and has been teaching for a hundred years. Ranked #22 in the US and #9 among all private universities. That's a really great thing to add to a resume. With tuition reimbursements, you may be able to get your degree without shelling out a lot of money.

Review: Ninja Assassin on DVD

Product Description (taken from here):

If it moves, smash it! The filmmakers behind The Matrix and V for Vendetta bring new blood (lots of it!) to martial arts movies in Ninja Assassin. Korean pop star Rain (Speed Racer) stars as heroic, deadly Raizo. Trained from childhood in the way of the Ozunu Clan ninja, he is stalked by fellow warriors for breaking free of them and their iron-willed dojo patriarch (martial arts legend Sho Kosugi)... and is on the run with a Europol agent (Naomie Harris) who has proof the clan sells assassination services to governments. The action is start-to-finish – fast, fierce, filled with weaponry (chains, swords, staffs, shuriken) and awesome athleticism. Fear not the weapon, but the hand that wields it.

This movie is action packed with tons of brutal blood, guts and gore. Sword fights and expanding grudges are the cause of many deaths. If you like to watch fight scenes, aren't easily grossed out and enjoy movies about Ninjas, you don't want to miss this!

Easter Idea

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Madacy Entertainment. All opinions are 100% mine.

Dga2_4674

One year we ended up going to a community Easter hunt and I will never forget that day. It was the first time I had ever sprained any part of my body. The girl standing behind me pushed me so that she could get a head start on the candy and she ended up sitting on my ankle in a position that twisted my ankle. The funny thing was, I got back up and tried to find some eggs before going back to my mom.

Easter was always such a fun time for me as a child. Every year we would find an Easter basket stuffed with items we wanted. Usually the basket consisted of a book, a cd and other fun stuff. We always found candy in the plastic eggs and then we would begin the hunt to find more hidden around the house. After the sprained ankle incident I preferred to just hunt at home.

Looking for something special to do with your kids for Easter, Sunday, April 4th? Amazon is celebrating by offering a great deal on the Ultimate Countdown Kids Collection: 200 Sing-A-Long Favorites. This album usually costs $11.99 but you can get it for only $3.99. 200 songs is a lot! That could keep your kids entertained for a while.

Review: Flirting With Forever by Gwyn Cready

Cam is writing a book about 17th century painters and she's calling it "fictogrophies".  As an art historian, Cam does know a thing or two about the great artists she is focusing on.  Some would say that she knows a little too much.  What's a girl supposed to do with a newly found time portal?

At first I thought that this would be a tad bit corny - I like corny, so that was why I agreed to review this book.  It wasn't quite what I expected, it was better.  I wonder if Cam will show me this time portal...  It's a really fun read, especially if you're looking for a romance book that is unlike any other.

Blog Tour: Tempt Me If You Can by Janet Chapman

Ben discovers that he has a son whom he has never laid eyes on. He is a good man and wants to repay his once lover, Emma, for all that she has done for their child. Emma is hard headed and doesn't want Ben interrupting their life. When some secrets start to reveal themselves, Ben knows that it is his duty to protect his son and the mother of his child. Emma isn't too thrilled with the idea at first, but she soon learns that there are some things she can't do all on her own.

I wouldn't say that this is one of my favorite books but it was definitely worth reading. I could really relate to Emma which made the book a lot of fun. I don't know how she kept Ben at bay for so long though. I think I have a crush on his character.

Blog Tour: Love In Mid Air by Kim Wright

Elyse meets a man on an airplane and this one single act has changed her forever. She isn't the type of person who does the outrageous, spur of the moment, true love things like most hopeless romantics do. Now, here's the kicker, Elyse is married. She wants to trade her whole boring life for something more. This change in Elyse now has her friends wondering if life has more to offer them as well.

I love it when a woman's eyes are opened and she learns that it's time to start living her life her way and forget what everyone else wants. (It strikes close to home.) I absolutely adore Elyse and I hope to read more about her in the future. Two thumbs up!

Review: The Executor by Jesse Kellerman

After his girlfriend kicked him out, Joseph had to find a new place to stay. After sleeping on several friends couches he decides that it's time to find a place to call home. When he reads a peculiar ad in the newspaper he is taken off guard but also intrigued. The ad says:

CONVERSATIONALIST SOUGHT.
SERIOUS APPLICANTS ONLY.
PLEASE CALL 617-XXX-XXXX BETWEEN SEVEN A.M. AND TWO P.M.
NO SOLICITORS.

Joseph thinks that it must be a joke but makes the phone call anyway. He meets with the older woman, Alma, who placed the ad and ends up making a friend that understands him even on the deepest of levels. When Alma's nephew comes around, Joseph gets territorial and then the downward spiral begins.

I enjoyed this book but I was kind of disappointed with certain parts of it. The first half was really good but it kind of went downhill from there.

Getting Out

There are times when going out to eat and going to a movie just seems redundant. Sometimes it's nice to spice things up and do something a little out of the ordinary. One way to shake things up is to buy some Augusta National Golf Course Tickets.

Some may prefer some music and get some Michael Buble Tickets. Concerts are always fun! The atmosphere is addictive when an artist puts on a good show. Or, if neither of those is your type of thing, you could look into getting Air Canada Centre Tickets.

Review: renu fresh

I have said it many times before and I am sure I will say it many times in the future. My eyes are one of the most important parts of my entire body. As an avid reader blogger, I don't know what I would do without my eyesight. I will do all that can to save my sight for as long as I live. I don't wear contacts but I have been told by an eye doctor that I should rinse my eyes out with saline. I went to the supermarket, looked in the aisle that was designated for eyes and the only thing I could find was contact solution. After making a phone call to the doctors office, I was told that using renu fresh would clean my eyes. Just because you don't wear contacts doesn't mean that your eyes are clean. Dirt, dust and debris doesn't just target contact wearers. Be good to your eyes and they will be good to you.

renu fresh (taken from here):

* Removes protein, cleans, conditions and disinfects your contact lenses.
* Clinically proven ingredient ensures excellent protein removal. No protein buildup means clean contacts and clear vision.
* Unsurpassed in fighting germs so you can wear contact lenses with confidence.
* Conditions the surface of your contact lenses to retain moisture and provide lasting fresh lens comfort all day.

Giveaway: Mommy Power by Sheila Schuller Coleman

Full Description (taken from here):

Many women struggle with being mothers. The great joys of parenting are hindered by harsh self-doubt and a chronic lack of physical and emotional energy. In MOMMY POWER, Sheila Schuller Coleman helps women understand that while they really don't have the power or strength to handle the demands of motherhood alone, they don't have to. Mommy strength, Sheila says, comes from asking God to lend some of His, knowing He will never fail to provide. God will enable anyone who asks to become a powerful mother who loves strong, forgives strong, and models a strong faith.

Review: New From The Inside Out by Kim Vazquez

People tend to think that the grass is always greener on the other side. Life isn't quite that simple. If you really saw into another persons life, you would probably find that they have problems just like you, yet different. You see someone with a brand new house, brand new car and always looking fresh. Then you see another person who lives in a home, car and looks decent. The first person may be dealing with a cheating husband or her husband could be an abuser. The second person may not have material things but they have a great relationship. Which is more important?

I really liked this book because it opened up my eyes a bit. It's in our nature to see what others have and feel like we want that too. The thing is, when you really think about it, what is more important to you? I have to say that I would rather know true love (I'm not just talking about loving a spouse, I'm talking about truly loving anyone, a friend, a child, a dog). Some of my thought patterns were damaging me in ways that I didn't even know possible. Kim helps shed some light on why we think certain things and how to turn them into something positive. I love Kim's spiritually and how she gently brushes each subject so that the reader doesn't feel overwhelmed. Five stars!

I Want To Travel

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to see new places and experience new things. There are so many places I want to go and so many people that I would like to meet. My husband and I have talked about renewing our vows and going on a long honeymoon outside the US. I would love to see and experience a new side of life with the man that I love. The problem I have is coming up with where we should go. I would like to go some place that is in a centralized location and then we can go and visit several places.

I found a lot of great information about Edinburgh and that is one of the places listed on my "bucket list". In case you don't know what a "bucket list" is, it is a list of all the things that you would like to do before you "kick the bucket". I don't think that I will be able to get even half of my list completed but hey, I can try.

If we end up going to
Edinburgh to renew our vows, I will want to make a trip beforehand to pick out an Edinburgh Caterer. Hopefully we would be able to put something together quickly. We aren't really into all the fancy stuff. Our wedding was the most incredible day of my life. We didn't spend a ton of money but we have to be one of the happiest wedding day couples.

I think that I would like to find an Edinburgh Dentist too. I love how my teeth feel after having them cleaned at the dentist office. I love to feel pampered and beautiful. It's funny how much having a cleaning can improve your confidence. Or having your eyebrows waxed. I swear that I look like a completely different person with my brows in order.

Review: The Box on DVD

Product Description (taken from here):

Push a red button on a little black box, get a million bucks cash. Just like that, all of Norma (Diaz) and Arthur Lewis's (Marsden) financial problems will be over. But there's a catch, according to the strange visitor (Lagella) who placed the box on the couple’s doorstep. Someone, somewhere – someone they don't know – will die. Cameron Diaz and James Marsden play a couple confronted by agonizing temptation yet unaware they're already part of an orchestrated an – for them and us – mind-blowing chain of events.

My thoughts:
I thought this was a good movie but while watching it, I felt like it was drawn out a bit. Other than that it was pretty good.

In The Bed

I'm in desperate need of a new bed for several reasons. I've suffered from back pain for a long time and one of the most important products to help you deal with back pain, is a good bed. The one we are sleeping on now was great in the beginning but it wore down really fast. Another reason we need a new bed is because I snore. I snore loud and a lot. My poor husband is a very light sleeper and he doesn't get nearly enough sleep because of me. I have horrible allergies which are the cause of my snoring. We got one of those pillow covers and mattress covers that are made for people with allergies and my snoring wasn't nearly as bad. Just think about how much better I would feel if we had an all natural products only.

There is a company, Essentia, that makes the world's only natural memory foam mattresses and it is 100% allergy-free latex rubber. That sounds perfect for me! I would really like to have one of their memory foam support pillows. This is the answer I've been searching for. What more can you ask for from a company that is both eco-friendly and hypoallergenic?
