PRESS RELEASE: The Wave Of the Future: Hands-Free, Germ-Free Public Restroom Door Opening System

The Sanidoor system opens public restroom doors with the wave of a hand.

(Daytona Beach, Florida) – According to a recent study, only 43 percent of men and 54 percent of women wash their hands after using the restroom. That means of course that many public restroom doors are often contaminated with an array of germs. But a unique technology is now helping to flush away that spread of germs at more and more public restrooms nationwide.

The Sanidoor is a touch-free door opening system designed to reduce the spread of germs through eliminating door surface contact going in and out of the restroom. Doors equipped with the Sanidoor system open with a simple wave of a hand, much like hands-free faucets and towel dispensers. Sanidoor is currently popular in many restaurants and businesses in Florida and is now poised to launch throughout North America with its new second-generation system, which will also feature models developed specifically for swinging doors and single-use locking public restrooms. The Sanidoor system is already installed and eliminating germs in more than 300 public restroom locations in the United States, and it is gaining popularity among
large employers, hotels, hospitals, doctor's offices and retail outlets.

Sanidoor can be retro-fitted to any swinging door in public, commercial and business settings: restaurants, hotels, stores, hospitals, healthcare facilities, city & county buildings and more. Approved to meet all U.S. and Canadian standards for automatic door openers, Sanidoor easily installs on existing public restroom doors, including retrofit and new construction. The innovative design of the Sanidoor system even includes safety measures for impediment and entrapment protection. Sanidoor is ADA compliant and is internationally patented and trademarked.

The Sanidoor system costs $850 plus $200 - $300 for installation by a professional electrician.
