Maria has endured every woman's worst nightmare. The love of her life was gunned down in front of her and her son was stolen, all because of a war that she was never supposed to be a part of. All she has now is a mother's love and determination fueling her. Without regard for her own safety, she sets out on a mission to track down a killer with the hope that he will help her with one task - taking back her son.
Maria is such a strong, likeable female lead character that following her story was unavoidable. I was swept away with the drama and became so caught up in her journey that I was unable to put this book down. Trevor has a unique way of weaving an action-packed tale full of heart.
I am in love with this series! I highly recommend it to any reading fan. I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book - CHILDREN OF THE UPRISING.
