In the past year I have received a lot bad news concerning the health of myself and my loved ones. Hearing that someone you love has cancer, a blood clot or another illness is never easy. It is very important to pay close attention to how you feel. You know your body better than anyone else, so make sure you listen when your body is telling you something is wrong. Also, it's a good idea to get yourself checked out by a physician regularly. The sooner an illness is noticed, the better chance you have of fighting it off.
On Saturday, April 13 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sam’s Club is hosting free oral care and health screenings to raise awareness about the connection between oral health and chronic disease. The screenings are free and available to the public at all Sam’s Club locations with a pharmacy.
The free health screening event features tests (valued at up to $100), including:
- Non-invasive oral health questionnaires
- Dental tablets
- Glucose
- Total cholesterol
- Blood pressure
- Body mass index (BMI)
- Vision
