Review: Pop Weaver Extra Rich & Buttery Popcorn made with Canola Oil

One thing I love to do with my husband is pop some popcorn and watch a movie. I have tried popcorn that was healthier before but I hated it. I would rather have no popcorn than bad popcorn. I must admit though, when I'm sitting on the couch snuggled up with my hubby, popcorn makes the whole experience a little better.

When I popped the first bag of Pop Weaver Extra Rich & Buttery Popcorn made with Canola Oil I was nervous. I've been trying to eat healthier and this product was kind of a test for me. When I try to eat better and taste something awful, it kind of puts me in a slump because I don't want to miss out on good food or snacks. That being said, I really liked this popcorn. Compared to other popcorn, the kind with canola oil does taste different but in a good way. It was like this popcorn was lighter than others. Two thumbs up!

About:

This is the first-ever microwave popcorn made with Canola oil from Pop Weaver, the world’s 3rd largest producer of popcorn. Most other popcorns are made from Palm oil which is not only high in saturated fat, but there are also environmental issues with palm oil, as it contributes to deforestation in tropical areas, and importing it uses a lot of fuel. Canola is a renewable crop that is grown in the U.S.

All three flavors in the Pop Weaver microwave line have been reformulated with Canola oil to help lower bad cholesterol and protect against coronary heart disease, heart attacks and strokes. And, at only 21 cents per full bag popped, no other snack provides this great nutritional value at such a low cost.

  2. thanks for reviewing this product in that it is made with canola oil and not palm whose production has been shown to destroy the rainforests of the world!
