Jake and the Never Land Pirates on Disney Junior

PhotobucketMy nephew is in preschool and loves the Disney Channel, especially when the Disney Junior shows are on.  His favorite right now is also cable's #1 series for boys 2-5, Jake and the Never Land Pirates.  It's the perfect show to watch with your little one.  You and your kids can go on adventurous treasure hunts.  The cast even includes Captain Hook and Mr. Smee from "Peter Pan"!  It's loads of fun and teaches kids teamwork, how to solve problems and even gets them to be active.

PhotobucketJake and the Never land Pirates will be airing a special holiday episode  It's A Winter Never Land! / Hook On Ice on December 2 from 8:30-9:00 a.m., ET/PT on Disney Channel.  I was lucky enough to see this episode and I have to tell you that it is a must see!   In celebration of Winter Treasure Day, Peter Pan leaves his crew presents under the tree for Jake, Izzy and Cubby.  Then, Captain Hook asks them to go on a winter treasure hunt.  It's really fun!  Plus, January starts with a first-ever 45-minute series special and the second season of this wonderful program.

Disney Junior has been such a success that early next year, Disney Junior will launch it's very own 24-hour channel!  That's right, your young ones can enjoy programs for their age group all day long!  This is fantastic news!

  3. A 24 hour channel for the younger kids is a great idea and i'm surprised it wasn't done sooner! The younger kids are the ones home more and watching things that are maybe not appropriate. SOunds great!
