Have you ever wondered what would happen if we didn't enforce crowd control? I'm a little surprised that the whole velvet rope thing actually works most of the time. It's a good way to keep people from getting confused about who came before whom.

The stanchions are great for places like banks and grocery stores. The most handy control method I've used is barricades. When I worked at a concert theater, they were a necessity. It was much easier to contain people when there is a clear visual barrier.
