Have you ever wondered why women don't give men engagement rings? I think about this kind of stuff often. When I was a teenager I had binders full of wedding ideas. It included everything from engagement rings to invitations to the furnishings of my future home. I had a ton of bridal magazines at the age of sixteen and had my wedding day all planned out. The only thing I was waiting for just happened to be the most important detail - the right man. My wedding book ended up being so thick that I had to use multiple binders to organize all the options I had. I just knew it was going to be the perfect day and I also knew that by the time I was ready to take the plunge, my taste may have changed. This was my reason for cataloging 400 different invitations. The one thing I was sure of was that I was interested in antique engagement rings. I do like some of the new styles but for the most part, I prefer the antique look. The second thing I was sure of was that I didn't want to have a seriously formal wedding. I'm a casual type person and I wanted my wedding to reflect who I am. Luckily I married a man who felt the same way I did and I can honestly say that my wedding day was the happiest day of my life.
