Review & Giveaway: We Take The Cake

We Take The Cake is a master when it comes to gourmet cake. I was having trouble choosing which layer cake to review. I am a huge Red Velvet fan but I was also drooling over the Strawberry.

Description (taken from here):
A classic Southern treat! It's a mild chocolate cake with a wonderful crimson hue and the texture of (what else) velvet. We use all the traditional ingredients such as buttermilk, vinegar, imported Dutch cocoa powder and red food coloring. Then we layer and cover the cake with cream cheese frosting and top it off with white chocolate curls! So delicious!

The cake weighs approx. 2.5 pounds (10 pounds shipping weight with dry ice) and serves 8-10.6" in diameter and approx. 5" in height.

Packaged in our custom cake box for a beautiful presentation. Overnight shipping with dry ice required.



In the end, I decided on the Red Velvet Layer Cake and I can testify using my right hand on the Bible that this was far and away the BEST cake I have ever eaten in my life! If I was stranded on a desert island and could only have three belongings, it would be a fork, a plate and this cake.
