Internet

I don't know how we survived for so long without the internet. I can't imagine not being able to get online. Having so much information right at your fingertips is amazing. There are times when something will pop in my head, like something that I learned in school and I love being able to hop online, type it in and see if my memory is correct. In middle school, my family had dial-up service and I thought that it was the coolest thing in the whole world. Now, you can find cheap dial-up easily. Ever since the dsl service has taken off, it's almost impossible to live your life without interacting online. Jobs are requiring internet experience and email is now more popular than regular mail. You can do just about anything online. Play games, find friends, find events going on in your area and so much more.

With the variety of internet services available, it can sometimes get a little confusing. The web has more traffic than any highway I know of. It is amazing how you can find anything, and I literally mean anything, online in today's world. Staying up to date with news has never been so easy. You can even have it set up to where you receive an email whenever the slightest change has happened in the world. I have probably gained more knowledge in the past few years from surfing than net than I learned in my entire time at school. How much have you learned since you started getting online?
