It seems like every time I go somewhere, I see pregnant women or hear about someone who has just found out that they are expecting a child. I can remember when my sister was pregnant with Damien and she steered clear of so many different foods. Everything that a woman puts in her body, while pregnant, affects her child. Knowing what is good for the baby is usually a mom's main concern. I know that a lot of women stay away from seafood altogether and they don't realize that they should eat healthy tuna because it helps them fight depression. Moms-to-be should never, ever eat fish that is high in mercury like swordfish or shark. According to one study, babies whose mother ate a lot of fish while pregnant end up doing better in school.
Here is my favorite tuna casserole recipe:
1 can tuna
1 pkg. noodles & sour cream
1 sm. can green peas
Potato chips
Mix noodles according to package directions. Stir in tuna and peas. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Stir and top with crushed potato chips. Return to oven and cook 15 minutes more.
The best thing you can do for your baby is to learn as much as you can about what affects them and do your best to make sure they are healthy and happy.
