Waverly is a lawyer who has been sucked down into a losing streak and can't manage to get his head above water. When a proposition that promises to change his luck forever presents itself, Waverly can't help but take it with open arms.
When someone is dying and in need of some money, Waverly swoops in to help. The only thing he asks for in return is for the patient to sign over their life insurance to him. When his clients start expiring before they should, he is forced to run because he has secrets that he will die to protect.
This is one of the best books I've read in a long time. Pamela has a knack for writing and storytelling. If you like to read about deception, blackmail and trying to find a way to make it in a cruel world, this is your book.
