There are moments when I can't be bothered with fixing my hair and dressing up. On those days, I stay in a pair of comfy pants and a T-shirt. Other times, I enjoy spending a little extra time on making myself look good. One of my favorite accessories is jewelry. I'm happy having only one purse and a couple pairs of cute shoes, but I can never have enough bling. You can wear the exact same outfit every weekend but make it look like you have a huge wardrobe full of clothes just by changing a few accent pieces. On those days when I'm trying to look my best, the first place I turn to after a shower is my jewelry armoire. I pick out a pair of earrings, a necklace and/or a bracelet. Then I head to the closet to choose an outfit that will make the most of my jewelry. Once all the finishing touches are added, I must admit, I am usually pleasantly surprised.
As a teen, I was obsessed with earrings. While other girls were collecting guys phone numbers, I was collecting cute earrings. You would never see me without a pair of earrings on at the time because my ears were forbidden to go naked. I'm not quite that anal about it now but I still can't pass up a pair of beautiful silver earrings that make my eyes sparkle. Compton and Woodhouse has so many gorgeous pieces and I keep hinting to my husband that I could use some new pieces. I am crossing my fingers in the hopes that he finds something gorgeous to give me on Valentine's Day. I'm very blessed because he has very good taste when it comes to jewelry. He always knows exactly what I will like without having to ask.
