Review: Immortals

SYNOPSIS:

In Immortals, the ruthless King Hyperion (Rourke) leads his bloodthirsty army on a murderous rampage across Greece to find a deadly weapon that will destroy humanity. A mortal chosen by Zeus named Theseus (Cavill) must lead the fight against Hyperion and his evil army with the fate of mankind and the Gods at stake.

MY THOUGHTS:

The first time I saw a trailer for Immortals, I knew it was a movie that I would have to see.  I've been interested in Greek mythology for as long as I can remember.  I was interested to see how the Gods would be portrayed in this film compared to the literature that I have read in the past.

I was thrilled with the cast and their performances in Immortals.  The plot was great, although I expected a little more action.  Immortals encompasses romance, betrayal and murder brilliantly.  It's a really great film!

Disclosure: I received a free copy of Immortals for review purposes. All opinions expressed are 100% my own.

  2. The graphics on Immortals were amazing. It’s no surprise though since it is from the producers of 300. I have the option of having it sent to my home with Blockbuster @Home, but I am going to rent it from the store, just so I don’t have to wait on the mail. I like having Blockbuster @Home because it gives me the option to stream different movies to my laptop or iPad anywhere I am, such as at DISH where I work or at school waiting for class to start. I also have the option to have DVDs and Blu-Rays sent to my house by mail, or rent them in store. I’ve been told that Immortals is best seen in Blu-Ray quality, so I think I’ll look for it at the Blockbuster store!
