James, You Are The Love Of My Life

Photobucket

James,

When I look back on my life, I remember the days when we were in high school together.  We saw each other in the halls, we even had some classes together.  Of course, we had no idea back then that we would end up falling in love.

When I saw a message from you on Myspace and we decided to get together to catch up, I never imagined that I would look back at that message as a monumental turning point in my life.  We met up at T.G.I. Friday's and it was like we had been together forever.  It took about an hour for me to fall completely, hopelessly in love with you.

All of a sudden, I felt completely alive.  I was high on love and could not wait until the moment we would be together again.  Never in my life had anything felt so right.  When we decided that it was time to take everything to the next level and say our vows, it was like all of the pieces of my life were finally coming together.  I truly feel like the reason that I was put on this earth was to love and cherish you.

When we decided to get a puppy and adopted Reese, you didn't hesitate to shell out $1,100 when we found out she was sick.  We had only known her for two hours and you were already in love with her as much as I was.  Not many people would have ran straight to the bank so that she could get the care that she needed.  At that moment, the impossible happened.  I started loving you even more.

I don't think you will ever really know how much you mean to me.  There isn't a word that could even begin to describe how much I love you.  Having you in my life has changed me in so many ways.  Every single day I try to think of something that I can do or say to let you know how I feel about you.  Sometimes, I am able to get that point across but most days, I fail miserably.

I love that you are so in tune with me and my emotions.  I love it that you care enough to ask me how I feel. I love it that you enjoy watching The Notebook and don't hesitate to let people know that it is a good movie.  I love it that you know me well enough to know that I would rather be given a book than a diamond tennis bracelet.  I love it that you always give me the inspiration I need to do what I want in life.  You are an amazing person and I don't know what I would do without you.  You are my best friend, my lover and the best thing that ever happened to me.  I love you so much and I would do absolutely anything for you.

We have been married for almost five years now and I know that I will spend the rest of my life loving you.  I am proud to say that you are my soul mate.

Disclosure: I am writing a love letter to someone special in partnership with Grammarly grammar checker. Communicating by way of the written word is a great activity for everyone to engage in this Valentine's Day.
