The Joy Of Reading

I've enjoyed reading ever since I was really young. My mom told me that when I was 18 months, I could open up a book and tell you what was said on each page. I had memorized everything, down to when it was time to turn the page. This probably helped a lot with my learning to read different words. Reading has brought such joy into my life and it has helped shape who I am today. I think making sure that every person has the ability to read is essential. If I knew that someone did not have the ability to read, I am pretty sure I would take the time to work with them because I know that it would make their life a whole lot easier. ruth culham has some great tools that can be used to help a child with reading.

Another important subject is math. I have so many friends who struggled to understand mathematics and I know how hard it can be to ask for help when you aren't even sure of exactly what you need help with. These subjects come easy to some and others have a hard time understanding the basics. We need to do everything we can to make sure our children are receiving the education they deserve.
