Phone Cards

Talking on the phone has become a whole lot cheaper. You don't have to worry about racking up your phone bill because they now have International Calling Cards. My dad was in the military and when he would be sent away on different missions, he would call my mom as much as possible. The problem was, they had not come up with international calling cards yet, so the phone bill could get pretty steep. One time, it reached over one thousand dollars. Luckily, soldiers today are able to get their hands on calling cards so they can stay in touch with their loved ones without worrying about receiving huge bills. Staying in contact with loved ones is a necessity for soldiers. My husband was in the Army and stationed in Germany. If he had not been able to call me, I don't know what either of us would have done. I needed to hear his voice and I'm sure he needed to hear mine as well. I can't imagine what it would have been like if I had not been able to send him calling cards once a month. Staying in touch during difficult times is a blessing for soldiers and their families.
