Kira is a deadly Shadowchaser keeping the evil fallen from reeking havoc on society. She works with the Gilead Commission and sometimes she's not sure who is a bigger pain in her butt, the Fallen or the ones she is working for. Someone wants the dagger that is millions of years old and they won't let anything stand in their way.

Khefar is thousands of years old and the person who holds the a very important dagger. They have to work together to try to take down the tyrant who is terrorizing Atlanta looking for the precious dagger. Will they be able to battle the Shadow victoriously or will they fall victim to the evil quest?

Kira is a bad ass on a mission. This girl doesn't let anything get in her way. I loved her attitude in the book and she is one of the few characters I've read about that come to life in my mind. Two thumbs up!
